Taste of Grampian

One of the great things we do in the north-east is hold an annual food festival.

The Taste of Grampian was instigated in 2000 and has since then grown annually.

It is a public-private sector partnership and is organised by the ANM Group, the Press and Journal, Scottish Enterprise Grampian, the Grampian Food Forum and Aberdeenshire Council.

More than 14,000 visitors yesterday packed Europe's largest livestock auction mart; ANM's Thainstone Centre at Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.

Celebrity chefs Nick Nairn and Paul Rankin were joined by food historian Alan Coxon, himself an acclaimed chef.
